Dil Vil Pyar Vyar (2002)

In a world full of funny and strange love stories, let’s dive into the tales of four couples who found love in unexpected ways.

Dev, a kind man played by Sanjay Suri, had a tough start. He lost his wife, Payal (Dipannita Sharma), shortly after they got married. To start fresh, Dev and his sister Rachna (Bhavna Pani) moved to Mumbai. It’s in this bustling city that Dev met Gauri (Sonali Kulkarni), a caring woman who looked after her brother Gaurav (Rakesh Bapat), who had some mind troubles. Love bloomed between Dev and Gauri, but Gaurav’s condition added a twist. Meanwhile, Rachna found herself falling for Gaurav, creating a new love story.

The next story teaches us about how love can get tangled up with things like pride and insecurity. Krish (R. Madhavan) and Raksha (Namrata Shirodkar) were a happily married couple with big dreams of becoming famous singers. When Raksha achieved stardom before Krish, his pride took a hit, and their love faced a rough patch.

In the fourth story, we meet Hrithik (Jimmy Shergill) and Jojo (Hrishitaa Bhatt). Even though Hrithik was really rich, both families wanted them to get married. However, Jojo had a condition: Hrithik had to find a job and be independent before she’d say yes.

Now, this movie, “Dil Vil Pyar Vyar,” isn’t like the usual ones. It’s special because it has old songs and stuff. The songs are by a famous music maker named R. D. Burman, and they are a big part of the story. The producer, Vivek Vaswani, made this movie as a way of saying thanks to an actor named Raj Kapoor. He also has a plan to make another movie to honor an actress named Fearless Nadia. They filmed this one in Mumbai and Dubai in 2001. R. Madhavan joined the team in December 2001. And guess what? Namrata Shirodkar was in the movie, not Mahima Chaudhry. Love can be full of surprises, just like this film!

Shaandaar (2015)

Alia and JJ, both had trouble sleeping at night because of bad memories. But then, something magical happened. They met and became friends. When they were together, they felt calm, and for the first time in ages, they could sleep. Their insomnia was gone, just like that!

But, there was a sad part too. Kamla from the Arora family had a silly accident and, well, she didn’t make it. The Arora family was super worried about money, so they really wanted Isha’s wedding to happen.

Isha’s big day came, but it was a big mess. Robin kept saying mean things to Isha, and she had enough. She stood up and told everyone to believe in themselves and be true to who they are. The wedding turned into a big mess, and Mr. Fundwani tried to make it happen even though he had money problems too.

Surprise, surprise! The Fundwanis were almost as broke as the Aroras. So, Alia, Isha, JJ, Bipin, and Robin ran away from all the wedding craziness. They didn’t know what the future held, but they were happy and ready for the adventure.

In Aroraville, where money was a big deal, the new friends realized that real friendships and believing in yourself were the best treasures of all, even better than lots of money.

Drishyam (2015)

In the tranquil setting of Goa, Drishyam follows the life of Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn), a humble cable TV provider and movie enthusiast. His uneventful life takes a dramatic turn when a traumatic event unfolds during a family vacation.

Vijay’s adopted daughter, Anju, is blackmailed by Sameer “Sam” Deshmukh, the son of the Inspector General of Goa Police. In an attempt to protect her, Anju accidentally kills Sam. To save his family, Vijay concocts an intricate alibi, staging a family trip to Panjim with falsified evidence.

The film revolves around the cat-and-mouse game between the Salgaonkar family and the police, led by Inspector Meera Deshmukh (Tabu). With clever storytelling and intense interrogations, the plot unfolds with unexpected twists and turns.

Vijay’s unyielding commitment to his family and his ability to outwit the law make Drishyam a riveting tale of suspense and justice, ultimately leading to a heart-stopping revelation of where Sam’s body lies. The film is a unique exploration of morality, family bonds, and the lengths one can go to protect their loved ones.

Gori Tere Pyar Mein (2013)

In the vibrant city of Bangalore, there lived a fella named Sriram Venkat, portrayed by the talented Imran Khan. Sriram had been off to the United States, soaking up all the knowledge about buildings and such. One fine day, a marriage proposal came knocking on Sriram’s door, and it was none other than Vasudha, brought to life by the lovely Shraddha Kapoor. Sriram, being the easy going guy he was, thought, “Why not?” But Vasudha, she had her doubts. You see, her heart had a soft spot for Kamal, a Punjabi lad who had a heart of gold, always lending a helping hand, but he wasn’t all about the nine-to-five grind.

Sriram decided to take Vasudha to a fancy restaurant and tell her a story. This story was about a time when he was in love with Dia Sharma, played by Kareena Kapoor. Dia was also a helper of people.

Sriram and Dia met again after six months at a big mall opening in Bangalore. Dia did something nice; she sent all the kids to play because there was no place for them in the mall. Sriram thought she was cool, and they started being boyfriend and girlfriend.

But one evening, Sriram called Dia to come outside her hotel. He told her something that made her mad. He said he got some land for his dad and got a fancy car in return. But Dia was upset because the land he got was the same land she wanted for an orphanage. So, they broke up after being together for over a year.

At Sriram’s wedding with Vasudha, something important happened. Vasudha realised that Sriram still loved Dia and couldn’t be happy with her. Sriram decided to run away from his wedding to Dia’s house. He found out that Dia was living in a village in Gujarat called Jhumli. Once he reached the village, he made a big promise to Dia. He swore he wouldn’t leave until she agreed to return with him.
